Today’s guest, Neil Agius is a world record holder for the longest continuous unassisted open water swim and former Olympian that specialises in long-distance freestyle events. Neil is the 151st Commonwealth Point of Light holder, following the completion of his daunting 95 km swim between Sicily and St Julian’s to raise awareness of the threats to the world’s oceans and their biodiversity. He is the second person in history to have undertaken this swim. Neil has also been awarded Medal for Service to the Republic of Malta and was a WOWSA – World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) Finalist for “Man of the Year”. Above all, Neil is the founder and lead activist behind Wave of change.
